Century College and Inver Hills Community College have received funding from Minnesota State Colleges and Universities to create an Access and Opportunity Center of Excellence. The Access and Opportunity Center is committed to establishing strong collaborations with our middle and high school partners that create opportunity and honor the potential of ALL of our students.
MISSION STATEMENT To increase high school graduation rates, strengthen college readiness, and develop collaborative relationships between high school and college teachers.
PROGRAM NEED Throughout Minnesota, fewer underrepresented students graduate from high school, attend college, and earn a college degree as compared with their peers. The changing demographics of our communities and the disparities in the performance of students of color and other underrepresented students underscore the need for immediate action.

To address this need, Century College and Inver Hills Community College have created the Access and Opportunity Center of Excellence to generate academic success for underrepresented middle, high school, and college students.
